La División de Servicios Comunitarios is the largest division within the department. Uniformed officers of the Community Services Division actively patrol the various posts throughout the Village of Mamaroneck, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The officers respond to a wide variety of call types, from residential alarms and medical aided cases to assaults and robberies. Officers of the Community Services Division are responsible for the prevention of crime, protection of life and property and the arrest and prosecution of law violators. The Community Services Division is made up of six patrol squads, each led by a squad sergeant. Included within the Community Services Division are three distinct units, the Special Operations Unit, the K9 Unit, and the Marine Unit.
